Message From Dr. Curran !! New -- Tim
Wise Speech, 2007 Dear Students, Faculty and Staff, The University of Dayton strives to be a campus that welcomes all. We are committed to the dignity of every person. We are dedicated to building a strong, diverse educational community where no one feels marginalized. That is our calling as a Catholic, Marianist university. Please use this Web site to challenge any unacceptable behavior. You can anonymously report bias-related incidents. All incidents will be addressed within one business day. In addition, I encourage you to immediately report any acts of bias to the UD Police Department at 229-2121. If you don’t feel comfortable reporting the incident to the police, please tell someone who can help you find the available university resources. The standards of behavior on campus are clearly stated in a number of University of Dayton policies. Our expectations go deeper than words in a student handbook or policy manual. We expect the University of Dayton campus to be a model learning community--one that will not accept hatred, prejudice and intolerance. With your help, we can work together to build an inclusive community. This is our responsibility. More importantly, this is our mission. Sincerely,
Daniel J. Curran, Ph.D. President |
